Dictionary & Thesaurus

The American Heritage Dictionary and Thesaurus assists users in defining words, checking spelling, choosing the perfect word and more.

1. Select Dictionary or Thesaurus from Database Features on the Home Page or access from the top page navigation bar.

   

2. Enter a search term and select Search.

3. The dictionary returns all words containing your search term.

4. Make a selection to view the main entry for the word.

5. Access the Thesaurus from the navigation bar.

6. Type in the word you want to look up and select Search.

7. Select the link to view an entry for a linked word.
